Meet the Enterprise Nation team


Emma Jones MBE, founder

Emma is founder of Enterprise Nation. Emma joined international accounting firm Arthur Andersen, before starting her own business in 2000, which was successfully sold two years later.

Emma then launched Enterprise Nation and has since written a number of bestselling business books, including Spare Room Start-Up, Working 5 to 9, Go Global and the StartUp Kit

Emma was a co-founder of StartUp Britain in 2011 was appointed one of the prime minister's Trade Ambassadors in 2015 and Small Business Representative for the Crown in June 2016. Find out more about Emma here.



Dan Martin, head of content

With 13 years of experience as a small business journalist, Dan has interviewed hundreds of entrepreneurs from billionaires like Sir Richard Branson to brand new start-ups. 

Responsible for the prolific output of content on our blog and social media platforms, Dan works from our Bristol office.


Emma Greenfield

Emma Greenfield, head of events and promotion

Enterprise Nation's 100+ events each year are in safe hands with our in-house events guru. 

Emma boasts experience organising and running events of all shapes and sizes, from bespoke hospitality to high profile events at Madame Tussauds, as well as our annual programme of international trade missions.



Lizzie Slee, head of media

Lizzie works tirelessly to get Enterprise Nation, its members and the issues facing UK small businesses on the news agenda.

Lizzie is a former journalist turned PR specialist, fighting the corner for small businesses everywhere.

Kieran Bunting, head of partnerships

Kieran has two loves in life; exciting small businesses and cricket.

Kieran manages key relationships for Enterprise Nation and works on special projects including membership for support organisations, Enterprise Nation TV and international expansion.

Sophie Arnold, community membership manager

As community manager, Sophie makes sure we are doing the absolute best we can for our members.

Sophie connects members with opportunities to boost their business through our extensive member benefits. When not at the latest Enterprise Nation meetup she can be found in the front row at live music across London. 


Lydia Pimm

Lydia Pimm, member relations manager

Lydia loves Enterprise Nation's members!

She's in contact with them every day; helping out with queries, facilitating meet-ups, celebrating their successes and organising monthly meet the buyer sessions so members are never without an opportunity to pitch! 

Lydia is also responsible for ensuring the office is always full of flowers (thanks to Arena Flowers for this too!)


Lorna Bladen

Lorna Bladen, events manager

Lorna Bladen is a passionate supporter of small businesses. From having headed up the entrepreneur society at her university to then leading events for national enterprise campaign, StartUp Britain, she's dedicated to the mission of ensuring small businesses get access to the right support, at the right time.

She's now delivering that mission through her role as head of campaigns at Enterprise Nation which has involved training 10,000 female founders as part of Facebook's She Means Business programme and connecting Enterprise Nation members with sales and profile opportunities.

In her spare time, Lorna runs her own business and supports mental health charities. 


Francesca Stevens, events manager  

With experience in running events around the world across a range of sectors including sport, fashion, consumer and corporate, Francesca joined the team to support with the smooth running of Enterprise Nation's small business events across the country.

She's an efficient operator with an eye for detail and is always thinking about the best programmes to inform and inspire members.  


Alix Urien, marketing manager 

Following a career in the retail sector, Alix joined Enterprise Nation to ensure members are fully realising their business benefits and that we're spreading word of support and Enterprise Nation to all corners of the UK. She's a digital marketing pro and a passionate advocate for sharing member stories.


Debbie Assinder, West Midlands enterprise champion

Proudly wearing her 'Love Brum' badge, Debbie is our lady on the ground in the West Midlands from where she hosts member meet-ups and supports Midlands members to stay connected to all the opportunities and benefits on offer.


Matt Ford

Matt Ford

Matt is co-founder of Bit Zesty, Enterprise Nation's digital and web agency. Matt is the man overseeing tech developments and ensuring we deliver the most modern form of business support to members.



Neil Corcoran

Neil is founder of Studio Corko and chief Enterprise Nation designer. What you see on the website and in promotion and event materials; it's Neil's doing. Thanks to him, we keep Enterprise Nation bright and beautiful.
